PRP for Hair Loss

Hair Loss
Hair loss is a common condition affecting both men and women at various stages of life.
Also known as alopecia, hair loss can develop gradually over time and may occur for a number of reasons, including genetics, hormonal changes, nutritional deficiencies, stress and medical factors.
The most common form of hair loss is androgenetic alopecia, a hereditary condition that typically progresses if left untreated.
Research suggests that up to 80% of men and approximately 40% of women will experience androgenetic alopecia during their lifetime.*

Encourage Natural Hair Regrowth with Advanced PRP Therapy.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a non-surgical, evidence-based treatment that injects a patient’s own concentrated blood plasma into the scalp to stimulate dormant follicles, reduce hair loss and promote regrowth. It’s often used as a treatment following hair transplants to improve the effectiveness and longevity of the newly implanted hair.
At Luventutis Lumina, a Swiss-developed Regen PRP system is used to deliver high-quality treatment. Progress is carefully tracked using clinical photography, allowing clear measurement of improvements and helping achieve the best possible outcomes. Our approach has supported clients experiencing androgenetic alopecia as well as alopecia areata and is suitable for both men and women.

What is PRP?
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a treatment designed to support hair regrowth by using the body’s own healing properties. A small sample of blood is taken, processed to isolate key growth factors and proteins, then reintroduced into the scalp. These elements help stimulate repair and regeneration within the hair follicles.
The gradual release of growth factors can provide prolonged stimulation to the scalp environment supporting follicular repair and scalp health over an extended period.
Also referred to as autologous PRP, this treatment is still emerging within the industry. While large-scale clinical validation is ongoing, existing evidence suggests it can be beneficial for some individuals, particularly those with pattern hair loss. At Luventutis, results are monitored using clinical imaging, with treatments delivered using the Regen PRP system developed in Switzerland.
How PRP Supports Hair Growth
PRP is created from the patient’s own blood and contains concentrated growth factors such as TGF-beta, PDGF-AB, bFGF, IGF, VEGF and EGF, along with proteins, nutrients and other beneficial components. These growth elements play a role in accelerating tissue repair and encouraging regeneration.
During processing, red blood cells and certain other components are removed, as without them, healing is more effective. The resulting plasma is then used to support healthier hair growth, increase density and help reduce excessive shedding. Many patients begin to notice changes within approximately three months, with continued improvement possible over six months.
PRP can also be combined with other hair loss treatments such as topical or oral minoxidil, finasteride, hair transplant procedures or nutritional support like Viviscal Professional.

PRP is particularly beneficial for;
- Early stage hair thinning
- Androgenetic alopecia (pattern hair loss)
- Post hair transplant support
- Clients seeking to reduced shedding and improved density
- Individuals wanting a minimally invasive regenerative approach
This treatment has shown positive outcomes in both androgenetic alopecia and alopecia areata and is suitable for both men and women.
Applications for:
- More advanced or diffuse thinning
- Perimenopausal or hormonally influenced hair loss
- Clients with nutritional or inflammatory contributors to hair loss
- Individuals experiencing slower recovery or weaker follicular activity
- Clients seeking enhanced regenerative support alongside PRP
What Happens During Treatment?
A small blood sample is taken and placed into a centrifuge, which separates the platelet-rich plasma from other elements. The Regen system uses a specialised gel to ensure a clean separation of red blood cells.
The prepared plasma is then carefully injected into the scalp using a structured pattern. The full procedure typically takes around one hour.
A standard course includes three sessions, spaced one month apart. Ongoing maintenance treatments are usually recommended every six months to help sustain results.
A Personalised Regenerative Approach
At Luventutis Lumina, treatment plans may incorporate PRP, PRF, targeted supplementation, hair boosters and lifestyle recommendations depending on the underlying causes identified during consultation
